Group Personal Training

Instead of giving you fluff about group personal training, we invite you to experience a complimentary session to see the CROME Fitness difference. You won't be lifting weights that are too heavy, isolating muscle groups based on the day of the week or getting stuck on a cardio machine for 45 minutes; instead you will receive the highest level of personalized training in a group atmosphere utilizing functional movements to deliver the most efficient, effective workout you can do in 30 minutes.

Fitness Consultation

Goal of the fitness consultation is to establish a baseline for your current fitness level, review your current eating patterns and layout a plan for you to accomplish YOUR goals. The program created will be based on YOUR lifestyle choices and what you want to achieve, not ​some​ template designed for everyone. Every 4 to 6 weeks, you will have a follow up session to assess your progress and continue to refine and improve your eating habits​. Our goal is to make sure you make short and long term improvements.

Overview of program design:

- 31 different workouts, utilizing different exercises and rep counts each day of the month​.​
- ​Entire body is trained each day​,​ which ​is​ more effective than isolating muscle groups​.
- Uses the following equipment: free weights, kettlebells, TRX, plyo boxes, power stands, exercise bands, pull up bars, parallel bars, plates and mats.
- Program based on improving overall level of fitness - ​​increasing lean muscle mass, decreasing bodyfat and improving athletic coordination.
- Exercises are based on general fitness or weight loss, not powerlifting or bodybuilding
- ​In lieu of heavy weights, our Rx is optimized to maximize results and minimize injuries​.​
- Modifications for each exercise to accommodate every fitness level and limitation​.​
- ​Three​ intensity levels to maximize results and minimize ​damage to​ ligaments and joints​.​
Our schedule:

- Sessions are 45 minutes in duration (4 minute 30 second exercise demonstration, 4 minute 30 second warm up, 30 minute workout, 6 minute cool down stretch).
- CROME Fitness offers sessions 7 days a week.
- Between the two facilities, we offer 19 sessions a day Monday thru Thursday, 18 sessions on Friday, 5 sessions on Saturday and 2 sessions on Sunday.
- Our earliest session during the week is 4:45 am and latest is 7:25 pm.
- We are always willing to offer more sessions if their is a demand for a specific time.
- We will do private corporate outings and workouts during off training hours.
- We are a session based facility, meaning we are primarily staffed only during sessions.

Brett Chepenik
Group Personal Trainer

A dancer at heart, Brett studied with the Russian Ballet from the age of 7 until 19, when he tragically destroyed his ankle trying to save an elderly woman from being attacked by a wild Panda. As Brett gracefully leapt over oncoming cars, the Panda jumped from the tree and sliced all of the tendons in Brett's ankle. It was during his time in physical therapy that Brett developed his love for Group Personal Training.

If you arrive early enough in the morning to San Jose, you can sometimes see Brett practicing his plie and thinking about what could have become.

Mitchell Whichard

Since an early age, Mitchell has always had a fear of having his picture taken and being in front of crowd. One day, a photographer was walking by when some people yelled "Go Jaguars!!!" Mitchell being a lifelong Jaguar fan yelled out "Ahhh yeah!!!!" and raised his fist triumphantly. The picture you see was the first photo taken of him since the age of 5. After this experience, Mitchell realized that it was time to face his fears head on. He immediately began working out to get in shape and get some muscles, and after training for 27 months, he finally had the confidence to become a Group Personal Trainer.

Lina Hernandez

A former professional mixed doubles tennis player, Lina had a falling out with her playing partner because of their differences in height (he is shown in the above pic). After retiring, Lina sought out another way to utilize her passion for activity, which was when she discovered Group Personal Training. After working out at CROME Fitness for 5 years, she began training a chance and has been doing it ever since.

Please be aware that Lina sometimes unknowingly practices her backhand swing, accidentally having hit 13 members so far.

Dario Morose
Group Personal Trainer / SMA

Dario decided to live the first 21 years of his life with his body submerged in the sand (this was a picture of Dario at his 12 year old birthday).  At the age of 3, he read that if you lived in sand, sand could not be kicked on you. One day when watching some of the other kids play at the beach, Dario decided he had enough and was going to live his life above ground. Because of the atrophy that had occurred, he took up Group Personal Training. He is now committed to taking care of our CROME Fitness by assisting in group personal training and helping out on the administrative side.

Bill Alford
Group Personal Trainer

A former CB in both the NFL and AFL, Bill continued to play football until the Easter Bunny recruited him to assist with delivering Eggs. Due to a clause in his Easter Bunny Contract, Bill was forced to make a decision between football or helping kids get presents; Bill chose Eggs. Seeing the joy this brought to children, he took up Group Personal Training which is allowed per his employment contract with the Easter Bunny.

Be aware, when Bill gets overly excited during a group training session he will sometimes accidentally "drop" a few Easter Eggs.

Gaby came from the illegal sport of underground betting on Beach Volleyball. After having her arm broken in 27 places due to not taking a dive in the World Volleyball Championships, she began a long and arduous task of rehab. During the physical therapy she discovered her love and passion of personal training. Looking to go legit and live a life free of crime and bribes, Gaby made a bet with Brett that if she could beat him in volleyball, she could work at CROME. Although Brett won 21 - 0, he still found it in his heart to have her join the Staff to assist in both group personal training and admistratively.

One day while skateboarding, Jared was looking at a restaurant that made healthy food. Because he was focused on the restaurant and not paying attention to oncoming traffic, he was hit and remained unconcious for 7 seconds. When coming to, he vowed no other skateboarder would ever get in a wreck from wanting healthy food; and at that moment Superfit Foods was created. In addition to providing the most healthy meals possible to our Members, Jared also consults on program design and strategic planning for the business.
